Vidushi Suranjana Bose is an Indian Classical Vocalist representing the esteemed Patiala Gharana of Khayal and the prestigious Benaras (Purav Ang) Gharana of semi classical genre like Thumri, Dadra, Chaiti, Kajri, Hori etc.

She was initially trained under Pandit Hariprasad Das in Classical Music. Later she became a disciple of Late Pandit Prasun Bandyopadhay and Late Vidushi Meera Bandyopadhay for 32 years of Patiala Gharana. Her taalim in Semi Classical music was under Late Padmabibhusan Dr. Girija Devi of Benaras Gharana for 24 years. Apart from classical and semi classical genre she has also received training in Bengali songs from Purabi Dutta, Sukumar Mitra, Amalendu Bikash Kar Chowdhury and Anusua Mukherjee. At present she is under the tutelage of eminent professor and Guru Vidushi Manju Sundaram of Benaras gharana.

She has remarkable achievements in academics. She completed B.Sc in Geography (Hons) with First class from Lady Brabourne College (Calcutta University) in the year 1982. In 1984 she completed M.Sc in Geography with a First Class and ranked 4 th in the order of merit from Calcutta University. She is a National Scholarship recipient in the year 1982-83 and ranked 17th in the merit list. She completed B.Ed from Calcutta University with a First Class in the year 1987.

Vidushi Suranjana Bose is a Top-Grade artist of All India Radio and she performs Khayal, Thumri, Dadra, Bhajan, Nazrulgeeti and Raagpradhan songs.
She was a guest lecturer in Rabindra Bharati University for 7 years in the department of Vocal Music.

Shruti School of Music is her brainchild- a registered institute dedicated to train students in Indian Classical Music and organise Classical concerts in Kolkata for every year.
